Imperial Golf Cup

GORKI Golf & Resort and Old Course Cannes teams had a friendly tournament in Cannes.

The trip to the south of France brought to the Russian golfers lots of new emotions and impression, they were happy to share them with the golf community: "The tournament was spent in a warm and friendly atmosphere - we felt like Old Course club members from the first minute! We were so impressed by the hospitality, attention, atmosphere, beauty and the good condition of this course that our team didn't want to leave!  Many of us started calling the Old Course our home golf club in France after spending 3 days here!" - Ekaterina Senina

The first tournament was won by the French golfers noting the high skill level of the Russian team. The GORKI Team was awarded with gifts from the host club, and the flight of Yuri Bakumenko and Dmitry Tsvetkov won a weekly golf tour to Mauritius from the Old Course Club partner!

"The course with the history of more than a century is in a great condition - very fast greens, the local greenkeepers are doing an excellent job. The picturesque river and mountains views, interesting course setting, good weather — all this creates the best conditions for playing golf - with the Old Course golf course you enjoy golf to the full extent!" - shares his impressions Timur Acheldiev.

The golfers exchanged their experience also outside the amazing Old Cannes golf course: the French showed the Petersburgers a new side of petanque which is considered to be originated in Provence, and the chef of GORKI Restaurant Vladimir Minkevich spent two days at the local kitchen with the Old Course master Bernard Schmidt and even shared his own recipe of pancakes and cowberry-apple beverage which might be served to the guests in the French golf club.
