PITERGOLF - Summer Camp for Children (1st Season)
Awaiting the second session of sports camp, which begins on August 5th, we offer to remember how passed the children's debut stay at “Pitergolf” camp in GORKI Golf Club.
The theme of the first session was the cosmonautics. On July 8th eleven young golfers arrived on board of “Pitergolf” spacecraft. On the first day, settled in bungalows and divided into teams, the participants went on a fascinating journey through the galaxy!
Intensive sports program was diluted with intellectual games and informative lectures about space exploration. Not forgetting about etiquette and the rules of golf. Young golfers under the guidance of experienced counselors had time to learn new kind of sports - floorball and petanque. Everyday workout for golf with a golf pro (PGA of Russia) Vladimir Efremov produced result after a couple days of classes: those who picked up a golf club for the first time, felt themselves quite masterfully on the putting and chipping greens, and those who already had experience in golfing, surprised the coach with their results on a professional course.
In addition to sport activities, children did not miss a chance to show themselves on the intellectual field: every evening there was held a quiz on one of the planets of our solar system. Often day in camp ended with review golf and astronautics films. In such intense program there was a place for a culinary master class from the chef of the GORKI Golf Club Restaurant, Vladimir Minkevich: under the guidance of master children learned to cook burgers, space lemonade and delicious ice cream at home!
Intergalactic golf expedition ended with a friendly golf tournament and gala dinner at the Big Clubhouse Tent. All the children received gifts and took back home a whole planet of knowledge and unforgettable experience!
