Championship of the North-Western Federal District (Results)
After the Governor's Cup has passed, Golf Federation of Leningrad region started to prepare for the next big tournament, dedicated to the 125th anniversary of the birth of golf in Russia - the First Golf Championship of the North-West Federal District.
This Championship was held for the first time in Russia, and it was decided to use only one sports game format - the game on count of strikes without handicap for all participants.
Before the start of the tournament the President of Golf Federation of Leningrad Region Stanislav Shchukin explained the format of the game and some items of Championship standing order and passed the word to GORKI Golf Club General Director Senina Ekaterina. The Chief Justice of competition Glukhovskoy Ilya completed the opening ceremony of the Championship, explaining the local rules.
The men were divided into three groups of handicap, women for two.
