Vadim Tryapichkin's Albatross

On November 3, a member of our club had the rarest event both in the personal career of a golfer and in the history of the golf club itself.

The probability of making an "albatross" (passing the hole three strokes below steam) is extremely low — according to various sources, the chances are estimated at about 6 million to one. By comparison, hole-in-one (hitting the hole on the first stroke) is much more common. Usually, hole-in-one is achieved on short PAR-3 holes, whereas for an albatross it is required to score the first shot from the PAR-4 or the second from the PAR-5, as happened in the case of Vadim Tryapichkin's 14th hole at the champion golf course GORKY Golf & Resort.

In the long history of the four most prestigious major tournaments, there have been only 18 (!) cases of albatross. And this is the first such event in the history of our Club.

This is how Vadim himself comments on the event: "Impressions, I'll tell you, are not for the faint of heart... the adrenaline was so overwhelming! From this moment on, I believe that my golf life has not been lived in vain! Special thanks to the flight consisting of Dima Tyurin and Igor Ivanov! Thank you all so much for the congratulations! FOR GOLF!!!"

Congratulations to Vadim!
